Often an occupation can be the reason the pain is there and unless the occupation is changed the pain will come back unless you recognise this and embark on a course of treatment designed to PREVENT a re occurrence. Time after time over my career as a therapist I tell people that they need to come back regularly working on the basis of PREVENTION rather than CURE and time after time people fail to see the validity in this until they are in need of repair again!
I state this in an attempt to get more people to understand why prevention works: Relate yourself to a car, and the service programme that comes with it. The manufacturers say that if you follow the service programme not only will your car be more efficient (therefore cheaper to run) but that it is also less likely to breakdown! The higher spec car you get the more intense the servicing requirements, e.g a formula 1 car virtually gets re built after each run out as it operates at it's performance limit everytime it is driven. You too will be more efficient and less likely to breakdown if you had treatment of mind and body on a regular basis! Ask yourself this question;
