2 retired gentlemen with back problems have been a part of my therapy journey this week, 1 lumber problems and the other neck problems. Soft tissue manipulation and the use of massage machines saw these 2 great guys get off the table in a better state than when they got on. Having had long standing problems it will take a while to re educate the muscle fibres that relaxed is the way they should be.
Next on the therapy journey was a troubled young person looking to find a way to deal with personal issues and so a wonderful hypnotherapy session followed. The unconcious mind is a fantastic thing and this persons worked really well to begin to help them heal from the inside. Tears flowed but change has begun.
Next was a young lady with a raft of aches and pains from feet to neck, we prioritized the acute area and assisted in easing her neck problems for now which is the start of a long journey for her as we gradually undo all of the physical symptoms 1 at a time.
Off to the st helens Chiropractic and accupuncture clinic for an afternoon of treatments consisting of massage and Hypnotherapy.
This journey of helping people gets better and better;
Have recently worked on a 'mans man' with a Reiki treatment that was simply AMAZING, info passed to saud chap was inspirational for him and he has begun a great new chapter in his life. Next up was a young 12 year old who made some quite outstanding progress with a deep hypnotherapy session, as each session goes by this young man makes more and more progress as he gradually lets his subconcious do the work. Next up is a lady who is a fitness nut and a business woman who to use her own words 'is a stress head' presenting symptoms were all physical and very real. Solution was to begin with physical treatment to get the symptom under control then we are to explore relaxation technique with Hypnotherapy and Reiki.
Variety is great, meeting lovely people is great, Life is great,

Wednesday night boot camp saw a great turn out even tho a HUGE physical test was coming their way. I am truely in awe of you lot as I now passionately believe that you are nearly all as daft as me!!
Press ups and a side sit up was offered out as a challenge 400 reps to match me 401 to beat me and the most amazing thing happened no one said NO! every single person got on with it and every single person exceeded what they had been able to do by a massive magin!! not everyone matched that huge total although believe it or not some people BEAT IT!!!!
Boot campers you have my RESPECT K. see you Sunday as I am about to leave on my trip, Dinner suit packed, drinking head packed, Crutches in hand, here we go for an epic night have a great weekend people see you sunday
Monday night at bootcamp the weather was kind, raining till approx 1 hour before the session started then a surprisingly mild night saw layers coming off the trainers during the warm up. The session was a true test of mental toughness as I handed the boot campers a challenge to see who would take it on;
Press ups and a side sit up were the exercises, 15 reps of each meant 15 press ups then 15 side sit ups on each side. The task was simply to go down to 1 rep by doing 14 of each then 13 of each and so on down to 1 meaning a total of 120 reps would be done if completed. Then a further 100 press ups were to be done or 103 if anyone wished to beat my total of 102 additional press ups. The challenge was accepted and people bashed out the reps, NO ONE FAILED everyone got down to 1 and 5 people even beat my total by taking on the press up challenge, a simply amazing thing to witness especially when I know where all of these people started at in terms of fitness!!
A leg blasting and long busting session then followed seeing people doing squats and calf raises, hamstring raises and killer jumps all done with an active recovery position of a 90 degree squat horse stance followed by a 300m sprint after each exercise group. Then hopping and working lower abs/hip flexors followed by a 400m sprint saw some very tired but satisfied boot campers, AMAZING WORK ETHIC guys well done.

Been a couple of days since last update, so here is what I have been up to lately on the healing and helping people front; A visit from a business man who was concerned a few months ago about his health as he had been suffering quite acute symptom for some time that had him worrying and sent him to the doctors requesting scans and x rays and any test that could get to the bottom of what was going on. He was sore, had pins and needles in his head and arm and chest,his neck and shoulders were so sore it was restricting his movement, his arms felt heavy and were not functioning as he knew they could. This was the 4th visit to my treatment room and was the next in the series of treatments that has seen his symptoms go away and he now has quality of life that had been missing for sometime. He has even gone back to playing the odd round of golf, something that was impossible whilst his symptoms were acute.
What have we done with this gentleman? Listened to him and look at him then taking a person centered approach we have used a combination of soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, stretching along with discussing at length the link between stress and physical symptom. All in all a great outcome for both this gentleman and myself as I love improving quality of life and he has got quality of life back.
Next on the treatment front was a meeting from a young man who was referred to me by a Thai boxer who is also a client of mine; This young man presented with acute pains in his shoulders and chest/upper back along with intermitent lumber aches and pains. During the fact finding part of the session we establish that he has had a tough life and that he was probably exhibiting his mental and emotional pain as physical symptom. As a weight trainer and fighter I was surprised at how open he was to accept this, but the more we talked the more I came to realise that this young man had many layers and was well read in holistic work. Skillfull Soft tissue manipulation coupled with joint mobilization and some stretching reduced his symptom to almost gone. The plan now is to move into holistic work and on his next visit we will be splitting his time between physical treatment and an introduction to a Reiki treatment, a brave step for a tough young man!
Next was a session of hypnotherapy working with a young 12 year old budding football star aiding him in his desire to be more confident in his own abilities. Such a joy to work with such a willing and keen young mind who is open to explore the power of his own mind at such a young age.
Life is good, Love and light to all.
Wednesday night boot campers were treated to some proper training as it was RAINING:
